The Elvis Sandwich

Elvis Sandwich

The King loved to eat. His food Bacchanalia became legendary, and the weirdest and the most famous item is probably a banana, bacon and peanut butter sandwich, aka the Elvis Sandwich. I have to say that this is not everybody’s cup of tea, but only for the ones that are brave and adventurous in the kitchen. Unusual combination of ingredients makes extremely strong and sweet sandwich. I admit, I liked it :D Are you brave enough to try it?

Elvis Sandwich

4 slices of white toast
1,5 Tbsp creamy peanut butter
1 Tbsp honey
4 slices crispy fried bacon
1 small banana sliced into thin strips lengthwise

Spread mixture of peanut butter and honey over each slice of bread. Place slices of bacon and banana strips over two of them. Cover each with the two remaining slices of toast.

Fry each sandwich on a heated non-stick pan on each side for a few minutes. Cut both into halves diagonally and serve while still hot.

Feeds 2 people :)
