500 ml heavy cream
5 eggs
5 bags vanilla sugar
10 Tbsp sugar
In a very large bowl beat heavy cream. Set aside in a fridge. In another bowl beat egg whites with a pinch of salt. Place them in fridge also. In a third bowl beat egg yolks with vanilla sugar and sugar.
Take bowl with cream and carefully fold in egg yolk mixture, and then egg whites. Fold egg whites slowly so they don’t loose the volume. Divide mass into four equal parts. Add flavorings and freeze overnight.
Flavoring #1:
Melt 100 g dark chocolate on low heat on a piece of foil placed in a small pan. Quickly stir into ice cream base.
Flavoring #2:
5 Tbsp of cooked chicory. After you freeze this one, take it out of the freezer every 30 minutes and stir. Repeat until ice cream is runny.
Flavoring #3:
Dissolve 1 Tbsp Nescafé in 1 Tbsp boiled water. After freezeng, treat like chicory ice cream.
Flavoring #4:
2 Tbsp of elderflower syrup.
Note: This is my entry to the Ice Cream, You Scream event.

Perfect! I love the combination of flavors.
Your ice cream looks so creamy. My one and only attempt has not been nearly as nice. I love elderflower. I’ve only had chicory when it’s added to coffee. What does it taste like alone?
love the idea for chicory!
Looks fantastic, I can;t wait to try this. how much is 5 bags of sugar in gms or cups?
Rebecca, 1 bag vanilla sugar is 10 g. Or if you can’t find vanilla sugar, just add 50 g of white sugar and a few drops of pure vanilla extract.
I can believe I missed this Marija! These look amazing! I love the chicory one!
Hi, I’ve just made them- mine are mango and ginger flavoured. Thanks for the recipe! I quoted it on my blog: http://glimmercreations.blogspot.com/2009/04/lody-melonowe-z-imbirem.html
