The most famous winter salad in Serbia is a variation of Salad Olivier, called The Russian Salad. We also like anything you chop up and mix with mayo and sour cream :D Here is a good one ;)
500 g cooked chicken breasts, chopped
500 g button mushrooms
200 g Prague ham, diced
200 g pickles, diced
200 ml mayonnaise
300 ml sour cream (20% milk fat)
2 Tbsp lemon juice
Cook whole mushrooms in water where you added lemon juice and some salt and then cut into thick slices. How long to cook them? Taste and decide for yourself. Just don’t cook them too much as they can get nasty when you bite them.
Put the rest of the ingredients in a bowl, mix and season to taste.
