It’s been a while since my last post. I’ve been on a vacation, traveling through the SE Asia. I had an interesting, exciting and delicious adventure, and soon I will tell you all about it.
It was nice to go away, and it is sure nice to come back home again
Prosciutto and Cheese Bites
(recipe adapted from Sale & Pepe magazine, Serbian issue for January/February 2008)
1 spring onion (only the white part)
4 fresh sage leaves
3-4 chives leaves
250 g cream cheese
30 g pine nuts
2 Tbsp white wine
30 g grated Parmesan cheese
salt and pepper to taste
prosciutto slices
Finely chop spring onion, sage and chives. Add cream cheese, chopped pine nuts, wine, Parmesan and season with salt and pepper to taste. Shape into small balls, wrap each into a piece of prosciutto, place a small sage leaf on top and pin with a tooth pick.

Wishing you a prosperous New Year!
Wow, those bites must be delicious! Oh I would love to serve those as an appetizer – they look adorable!
I’m looking forward to reading about your adventure. These little bites look fantastic! The combination of prosciutto and cheese is irresistible.
glad that you are back! and with a delicious post ;)!
Yum, these look great!
Slightly different presentation idea: what if you were to use the toothpick holes to stick a couple of sage leaves in so that they look like little fruits? I’d love to try that but I don’t know where to buy prosciutto around here.
thanks for bringing these to the party – they have gone straight onto my shortlist for a feature. Cheers
