Ah, palmier! Probably the world’s easiest dessert, considering the concept and the preparation. The only thing that is easier than making this is going to the store and buying something already made. But please don’t. No mater how simple they seem, palmiers are amazing even if they are made the most basic way – only with sugar. And let me tell you, they go surprisingly well with ice cream 
This year the strawberries that we grow in our countryhouse garden are huge. Beautifully shaped, red in the middle and sweet. I almost felt it would be to bad to use them for jam or baking. So they went into a salad. Our lemon balm is also huge this year. And it smells wonderful. We decided just to sit on the grass, make some lemon balm lemonade and eat strawberries. Elmo the minpin was chilling around sniffing the chamomile. A beautiful day.
To be honest, I am not a great fan of desserts. This might come as a surprise to the readers of this blog as there are so many sweet recipes here, but the thing is, I enjoy making them, but it’s not like I get a craving for, let’s say, a chocolate cake. It’s more likely that I’ll make myself a sandwich, or fix a quick salad, or eat our lunch leftovers, but to grasp for a piece of a candy or a cake, nope.
This recipe has been sitting in draft for a long time. Because of all those things it might resemble when you look at the photo 
But not everything in life is beautiful, and just because something doesn’t look beautiful, it doesn’t mean that it’s not good. And these pavlovas are sooo good. Maybe even better than their original packed with fruits. You need to trust me on that
