Chicken with Bell Peppers

Chicken With Bell Peppers

(recipe is from Sale & Pepe magazine, Serbian issue for October 2009)

1,2 kg chicken thighs and drumsticks
1 1/2 red bell pepper
1 1/2 yellow bell pepper
1 clove garlic, pressed
4 Tbsp apple vinegar
olive oil
1 bundle of fresh parsley leaves
salt
ground black pepper

Cut peppers into big chunks. Heat some oil in a pan, add peppers and fry for a couple of minutes. Pour vinegar into peppers, wait for a minute and then, remove from heat. Transfer into a bowl along with the juices from frying.

Heat some oil in a pan. Fry garlic a bit, then add chicken. Fry until the skin is nice and golden. Season with salt and pepper to taste. Add fried peppers, stir, cover and cook on medium heat for about 30-40 minutes. Stir a few times during the coking.

Serve with chopped parsley on top.

    Lijepa slika,divna prezentacija!!
    Zamolila bih te da mi otkrijes tajnu paprike??kako i nakon slijedecih 30-ak minuta kuvanja ostane ovako dobrog izgleda???
    naime,kod mene se kozica odvoji od mesa paprike tako da nije ovako lijepa,zato sada uradim svekao ti,ali je ne kuvam sa mesom,nego je dodam na kraju,tek toliko da se potpuno zagrije i recimo da ostane boljeg izgleda nego kada sam je vracala i dodatnu kuvala sa piletinom,eto ako moze odgovor,bas me zanima ??Hvala unapred!!:)

      Mirjana, ja mislim da je to do vrste paprike. One velike babure što izgledaju plastično, njih sam koristila. Njihova kožica je ekstremno tanka i ne odvoji se onako kao kod ostalih paprika. Mada, bilo je i ovde par kožica koje su otpale, ali su upile sokove i bilo ih je malo pa nije smetalo.
